...a town where a dozen roadways are named in honor of those who died that day, few took to New York Avenue to protest the bookstore signing of the conservative author.
Instead, a defiant Coulter was met with more than 300 spirited fans at an event broadcast live to hundreds of radio stations by conservative commentator -- and Huntington Town resident -- Sean Hannity.
Huntington Town Board member Mark Cuthbertson, publicly rebuked her as he handed over a letter. "I'm here on behalf of many of my constituents. We are disgusted with your comments," he said, drawing hoots from the crowd.
Coulter ripped up the letter to the cheers of her admirers, an action Cuthberston later said shows she is "promoting hate speech."

Actually, I agree with both posts. The Senators/respect analogy bothered me in that it implied that being elected automatically qualified them for an enhanced status.
I prefer the photos of Dowd versus Mrs. Michael Douglas, Dowd's former beau, (Katherine Zeta Jones), but Ann is fine too. Make it a threesome. Thorn between 2 roses.
We need people like you to ensure her books sell in the millions.
Keep up the good work.
The Jersey Girls put themselves into the arena for debate. Their sad sack bashing of the President trying to stop more terrorist attacks in America does not make them immune from criticism, and that was Ann Coulter's legitimate point.
What did she say about the windows. I have not been paying attention...
Nor should see!"The Witches of East Brunswick"have shamelessly exploited the tragic deaths of their husbands for their own narrow political purposes!!They have been extended a forum and have taken EVERY advantage of same!!!They have been"groomed"by the Bush-Hating Leftists in The MSM and others to BASH BUSH!!!!Not only that, but their comments are "Above Critcism"brcause of the tragic circumstances!!!!!They have made themselves"Fair Game"so you go get em',girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Assorted left wing "victims" have been hijacking opposition causes since Stalin...at least.
Finally someone exposes what we all knew but were too afraid to publicly talk about for fear we would be labeled a raciest, homophobe, war mongering religiously intolerant sexist.....did I mention a Nazi ?
During the past Presidential election campaign, I went to a Freeper gathering across from Union Station in DC. Whenever a guest speaker would begin to approach the microphone, some strategically positioned moron striking a msm pose in his wheel chair decorated with vet props, began yelling and screaming a scripted anti Bush mantra.
When I asked someone why he was allowed to disrupt the speaker, I was told this guy is shipped all over the country to not only sabotage conservative gatherings, but provide the msm a photo op that would invalidate the message of the speakers.
If every time the left attempts to pull a "Jersey Girl" Hijacking ( JGH), we call them on it without fear of being on the msm's poop list, Coulter will have performed a great service for her country.
A little bit of Veronica Lake?
Well put. This is how I understand respect, too. SFF
That is COMPLETELY out of context! All she alluded to was that if we don't fight,we are led to slaughter!!!
Memorial Drive east of I-285 has been designated "Cynthia McKinney Parkway". It is not the most flattering stretch of road to have named for you. I would humbly suggest that The Bluff (the area squared off by Simpson, Bankhead, Ashby, and Northside) renamed 'McKinneyville'.
That SLIME BALL(Benveniste)always reminded me of The Cheshire Cat with that seemingly benign(GOTCHA)smarmy, smile!!!
Are you referring to the War of Northern Aggression?
Huck Walther of the Right to Work foundation says that the louder and more shrill the outcry from criticism of a politician (and the four witches are politicians by their actions) the more accurate the initial blast. He also says now would be the time to double down increasing the criticism and show the liberal cows from NJ that th 9/11 victim card doesn't make them immune to criticism. If Coulter comes to Atlanta when I'm around I'll show up at a book signing cheering her.
Ha! Ha!
Remember his gleeful anticipation of getting "a chance at Condi"? Saying he'd trade some time with another panelist to get her. She should twist the heel of her stilletto boots in his eye. Whoops. I'm developing Ann Coulter Rage (ACR)!
Does this surprise you?The Left(while caterwauling about ANYTHING they see as a violation of their First Amendment Rights)take ALL the liberties they want when"Quoting"their enemies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember it WELL!If I hadn't just gone into another room,I would have a MUCH newer TV set!
And here I thought the Republican party was the party of of "no child left behind", massively increasing spending, and amnesty for illegal aliens.
:-)
I grew up in the center of much of it. We used to play in the earthworks when we were little. They were all over the place. Many are still there if you know where to go in the woods. Did I mention we always heard horses galloping at night?
I never, ever heard it called the War of Northern Agression until recently. We always called it the War Between the States or more commonly, The Civil War.
