That's good news. Sirius took off the good Conservatives to put Fox people on. I don't even listen to talk radio anymore in the car. With Satellite Radio, there's so much great music. Right now I'm into the Broadway network. On long trips, thte Comedy Channels are fantastic for making time go by. Like everything, I can't imagine now not having satellite radio.
HTH did I miss that one?
I'm going to miss Andrew's show in Albany, and the mixers (when I could make it).
This will be a huge loss for the area. I know he'll do well...his national segments have become on par with the syndicated hosts, but I'm afraid we may be stuck with an Al Rooney (who is more of a local "happenings" type of host, hates politics except gas prices).
Thanks for the ping. Is he going off WABC Sunday show?
Well, despite being a regular listener to Howard Stern, I didn't get a Sirus subscription when he moved there. Now with Andrew there (and that Sirus unit that allows you to record shows easily), perhaps I will take the plunge.
Best of luck, Andrew. This might actually get me to subscribe!
Andrew's last moments on WABC - describing how his mother died the day of his first show, and how he met his future wife (Phil Boyce's daughter! - he's program director) the same day - was the most touching radio I've heard in a long time.
