Nothing but rubble. From the Boston Globe: "US helicopters fired rockets into a house occupied by Zarqawi and a band of men, according to US and Iraqi officials. Iraq troops on the ground removed Zarqawi from the house, and he died as their prisoner, they said."

I haven't read the whole thread here so don't know if that is confirmed. Maybe he was spared a few more minutes of life so he would have to face some of the people he terrorised.

Not helicopters. F-16s, made in Fort Worth, Texas, dropped 2 500 pounders. General Casey confirmed this.
