Just caught word of the USS Cole leaving on deployment. I'll never forget that morning I went to visit my husband at NAS Norfolk (he was on submarines then) and happened to see the USS Cole back from repair sitting in her homepier, bright, shiny, and ready to kick ass.
I'll never forget the ceremony with Clinton and the sailors families....and thinking why this POS doesn't do something!!
