I also have homemade "sliders" - we got into a discussion here on FR a few weeks back about onion burgers, as in the best in the world being in Ardmore. One person here posted that and I replied that my favorite was in Ardmore, too!

And we were talking about two different hamburger places, "of all the gin joints in all the world." Turns out they shared a cook, tho. And this is not to be confused with J&W in Chickasha. This is Hamburger Inn in Ardmore, if you get by there.

Well, someone had a recipe for making White Castle "sliders" (little bitty burgers) at home. So I made some and really liked them - after I found some perfect little bitty burger buns - they're called "English biscuits" at my bakery, but they're not biscuits.

Anyway, they're little bitty 3-inch onion cheeseburgers with steamed buns and you keep them in the freezer. I was also looking all over for the Brockles Special Dressing I used to get at the grocery store, but from a restaurant in Dallas where everybody and their dog used to eat - a million years ago.

They had gone out of business and then finally quit making the wonderful dressing 5-6 years ago or more. Then I found it! It's made by BestMaid in Ft Worth and called "sandwich spread," but it's the exact same dressing. I'm in heaven. Have 4 jars of it now. It's not for hamburgers, altho some people might use it - sliders have ketchup and mustard both, which is also in Brockles. Anyway, Brockles just makes the best dips, especially Shrimp Dip.

Those hamburgers are called Kyrstal's in Tenn. Nastiest thing that you could ever put in your mouth.
