With the reported death today of al-Zarqawi, with the seeming decline and fall of missus clinton, it is an opportune moment to revisit that mathematical model.

The problem with the model is that it doesn't address the impact of rank, the difference between leaders and foot soldiers, on a network.

The critical question that needs to be answered is this: How many terrorists or clintonistas need to be neutralized before a graph becomes disconnected and a terrorist or clintonoid cell can be labeled inert?

Some mathematicians are using lattice theory, the abstract study of order and hierarchy, to answer this question.

The Left uses victims--exploits them--and the victims themselves often exploit their own victimhood-- to promote the Left's unsaleable policies.

This tactic is premised on the Leftist's pet pc theory: the victim is unassailable, a self-fulfilling empirical truism, witness the Cindy Sheehans and the Jersey Girls.
