One of the Conservative MPs made a statement supporting allowing tasers in the home, after getting robbed while in his house. Slowly, they're starting to figure it out again, across the pond.
Here's that story:
Burgled MP wants home stun guns

Anyone who is denied this right - to keep and bear arms - is to some extent enslaved. That person has lost control over his life. He is dependent on the State for protection. A tiny spark of wisdom from the UK. Truer words were never spoken.

We already have some of the strictest controls in the developed world on the carrying of weapons.Well, I guess this isn't from Birmingham, Alabama, then.

LOL! I dismissed this post initially because I assumed it was Birmingham Alabama. I can't believe a Brit, any Brit, is saying something as controversial as a citizen has the right to self defense! Isn't this kind of talk considered hate speech in Britain?

This piece is typical Sean Gabb, an outspoken UK libertarian. I am slightly surprised to see it posted here.

A pleasantly sane article from across the pond. I've just returned from the range with my wife. A little afternoon plinking after a long week. I finally tried out the Thompson Encore 15" .308 barrel with some handloads from the weekend. It's still a handful even with 100 gr "Plinker" from Speer over a minimum 48 gr of W748. My wife was literally plinking with a 14" 17M2 barrel on a Thompson Contender G2. She keeps those spinners moving. The balance of her session was spent putting .22LR on the spinners with a Ruger MKIII topped with a BSA holographic sight. I put a few .223 downrange with the 15" Encore barrel as well. It was a good afternoon. Everything is now clean and back in the safe.

Hodgdon H335/BL(C2)/Varget. The clean stuff.
Where are you getting the bullets. Lead and Copper have gone through the roof.

I purchased a box of the Speer 100 gr Plinker (100) at Sportsman's Warehouse in Idaho Falls. It was around $10. I used the W748 because I had a 1 lb container from previous work with .223. I use H110 for the S&W 500 Magnum. I also have some H322 for the 45-70. I prefer W296 for .357 Mag, 44 Mag and 454 Casull. I still haven't loaded up the new 460 S&W brass. I want to make sure the bullet I select is in the 200 gr range and capable of the kind of pressure and velocity the 460 can dish out. The 15" Encore 460 S&W barrel really put some zip on the 200 gr 454 Casull rounds. It nearly punched the Birchwood/Casey spinner.

Criminals will always get hold of guns if they want them. THAT needs to be said over and over and louder and louder. The gun grabbers can't seem to comprehend this very SIMPLE FACT!
