I am not sure they have at all.
In my opinion, there should be NO Muslims in the U.S. Military and any persons professing the faith should get a non-predjudical, convenience of the government discharge.
This is because the highest Imans and Mullahs in Islam have stated in numerous ways and places that a Muslim's highest duty is to Islam and the Koran and that his duty to other Muslims outweighs his duty to his country and oath.
Simply put, they can't be trusted.
