Two questions. One, why would the Today Show ever book someone like Coulter as a guest? And two, why would Coulter ever appear on something as biased as the Today Show?

On Today's part, it's all about ratings. Ann's books sell! And for Ann, she's trying to sell a book, and she gets a very large forum to do so.

One of her books sold 30,000 copies. Drudge introduced her one night as a controversialist. She is a master of one-liners, but she has no other responsibility than herself. ie. she doesn't have to go back to congress and sit on committees. I enjoy her, but regard her as a performer.

Somehow I find it hard to believe that The Today Show audience would be a big source of Coulter fans.
