The weakest part of the interview from Ann's side IMO was the length of time it took her to respond to Matt's question about the reason for Bush's low poll numbers. She paused for a long time, said "um" for a long time, then finally came out very weakly with "immigration". I'd be curious why she had to think about her response for so long. I'd have chalked it up to illegal immigration and big government spending (siding with Ted Kennedy on these issues) alienating his base right off.
