You can tell a faux Republican by the way they badmouth Tancredo, who is pretty much everything a real conservative could want in a Congressman.

The only way to take down the best and most blessed Country in the history of the world is from the inside.
If the amnesty bill passes America will be dead, It may whimper for a few years but it will be lost!

Tancredo doesn't want a solution to illegal immigration.

He wants, and desperately, needs the issue to stay alive.

He knows the Senate will not pass HR 4437. Even Mike Pence knows that, which is why Pence modified the House bill.

So. Tommy has a choice. He can back Pence's bill as a starting point, of he can have his issue in a minority Republican House.

Which means he won't get jack.

Strong article from a strong conservative Congressman.

Sure to upset the various Mexico-merger trolls.

Darn, I'm disappointed. When I misread the title I thought the House had already told the Senate No!

"What Part of No Don't You Understand?" - Lorrie Morgan

Maybe we ought to mail a copy of that song to all our wavering RINO Senators and Congrescritters.

NO AMNESTY!

The president lost all credibility on immigration reform in March 2005 when he called the Minutemen “vigilantes” with Vicente Fox standing at his side. It is time for the president to put his attack dogs on a short leash and let House Republicans chart their own course.

So true!

Tancredo doesn't know the difference between a specifically directed accusation of vigilantism and a general denouncement of potential vigilantism.

Gee wiz Spiff, the title doesn't even have the name "Tancredo" in it, and the usual whiners showed up real fast.

They are in their true form tonight, whining little trolls.

House Republicans can hit an electoral HOME RUN in November, by loudly, rambunctuously, at every opportunity - defying President Bush on amnesty.

He's a Republican and a fine president, but he's *wrong* on the issue of amnesty - and everyone in America knows it.

Seriously. The only people who don't, are the few who are so dedicated to Bush for his other good deeds, they are blinded to the possiblitity he's 100% wrong on something.

It's a perfect opportunity for a win-win.

Republicans rally those who are fed up with the ongoing sell-out, which incidentally includes quite a lot of voters Republicans need to keep from losing the House.

Remember "Reagan Democrats"???

They're still out there. Patriotic, pickup truck driving blue collar types who oppose gay marriage, hide a shed tear during the finest renditions of the Star Spangled Banner, and who would love to vote Republican if only they weren't continuously being driven away by snobs.

Willing to lose the House, rather than dare let in those who actually work and make things.

(some still exist in America)

It's time for the Republican party to set its own course.

Bush can ride in the car at the front of the parade - but on some issues he really shouldn't be the one navigating. :)

I doubt he would have gotten the nomination anyway, but any chance Sen. Frist had to get the nomination died on this issue. He's done before he even gets started.

Anyone remember how Ton Daschle was able to stop virtually anything he wanted as MINORITY leader? Frist couldn't undo the immigration crap from the position of MAJORITY leader. He's done. Even if the Republicans hold their majority in the Senate, he shouldn't remain as majority leader. He should be ashamed of himself!
