Sorry, I believe it is. Your parents I'm sure were ignorant of the information.. however being conditioned to fire without thought is not something anyone should be wanting or willfully allowing their child to do.
I don't agree that video games make people go out and kill people or things.. but first person shooters certainly condition the mind to react without thought when they find themselves in those situations. A good thing for a militiaman... not a good thing for a child.
I'm having a bit of a hard time finding this study. Do you have a link or remember the name of it?
As an aside, have you ever played a first person shooter?
