Well, yes and no. The old 'shotgun wedding' saw to it that children conceived out-of-wedlock were raised by a married couple.

People are taking this "political party" way too seriously. This is a "political party" like Fred Phelps' little band of hate-spewers is a "church" -- in the minds of a handful of people who share the same mental illness and delusions of significance.
