The Russians should be thinking about that, and what their former fellow Soviet Republics seem to feel about them, rather than trying to meddle in their internal affairs.
They obviously apply that "Comrade Wolf" metaphor in a way that Putin doesn't intend. And want to join the "Anti-wolf Homeowners Association".
