Bottom line: The government should have nothing to say about any marriage. The rights that I have as a human being -- granted by God and ostensibly protected by the government -- and my relationship to the government (ie. the taxes I pay, the parking permits I get, etc.) should have nothing to do with my marital status. And if someone wants to marry an 8 year old, or a dog?
