Yes we have .. I don't trust Biden or Hegal
Though I wonder how Jeff Sessions voted on Santorums amendment .. I trust his judgment
Gregg up with an amendment to contol spending
Have either of you been watching the Senate???
WOW...they are very entertaining...and my Senator Cornyn was really getting on to Sen. Bill Nelson for his amendment telling the Iraqis they better not give amnesty to anyone that shot at Americans, yada, yada/
Fireworks in both Houses today...yowza...
BTW...Jane Harman has on POP BEADS!!!
Sorry to have missed that. I was hoping someone was going to take on Schmucky and Nelson.
POP BEADS! ROFLMAO!
Kerry up asking if he can talk
McCain wants Kerry to explain what a moment means
Kerry up and asks for 5 minutes
Says he's still working on his amendment before presenting to the Senate
YIKES!! McCain tie is bad. LOL! Something about their clothes today is really noticeable to me. Sheesh! I need to take a nap and get well.
Kerry said he is looking forward to the debate on his amendement next week...
He says we have fought 3 wars in Iraq...IOW, he is going to go to his dictionary and thesaurus in the next few days to look up all of the different ways he can spin the Iraq War, to make it look like a failure...
And to find ways to change "cut and run" to an "positive" cut and run policy....LOL
Warner up reading the CORRECT version of what the Iraq PM said
The Press screwed up .. AGAIN
Thanks, Mo, I was mesmerized by the goings on in the House. I see we have a back and forth going on here. Will Bill Nelson ever get out what he wants to say.
Nelson of FL won't back down on his amendment .. he keep quoting the WP article
I guess he didn't hear the part where the WP incorrectly translated what the PM said
Nelson is wrong about South Africa. Criminal acts were forgiven if they were confessed. They are really trying hard to create a bruhahah and a division between us and the Iraqi people and their government.
Warner takes exception to the use of the word "bruhahah." Now Nelson uses "rhubarb." LOL. Nelson won't beck down again.
Kerry absolutely cracks me up.
Did you know that in 1998, after Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation Act, Kerry was advocating American boots on the ground, if necessary, to overthrow Saddam?
Kerry's appearance on This Week on Feb. 22, 1998, when Saddam was harassing U.N. weapons inspectors. "We have to be prepared to go the full distance" to disrupt Saddam's regime, Kerry says. Cokie Roberts asks him, "Does that mean ground troops in Iraq?" Kerry replies, I am personally prepared, if that's what it meant. I don't think you have to start there. I think there are a number of other options. But what I hear from the administration, thus far, is if he doesn't comply, then we will hit him.
The obvious question is, after you've hit him, have you opened up your inspections? Well, I think the answer is probably not, certainly not in the near term. After you've hit him, is he still in power, capable of building weapons again? Every bit of intelligence John [McCain] and I have says within various periods of time, he can rebuild both chemical and biological, and every indication is because of his deception and duplicity in the past, he will seek to do that. So we will not eliminate the problem for ourselves or for the rest of the world with a bombing attack."
I suggest that Nelson has the brains of a stalk of rhubarb.
This is such a fake issue. Suppose we offer to take these people off of Iraq's hands and put them in Gitmo. Are they suggesting that Iraq conduct thousands of trials over the next two generations to sort this all out.
A majority of Dems thought Saddam was a bad guy and were all in favor of taking him out when Clinton was President
That's what I keep saying they are HYPOCRITES!!
Yes....and I just heard on Brit's show, that these same people also blasted Bush for NOT USING the Iraqi army right after taking Bahgdad, even though the Army HAD been shooting at Americans...
Their hypocrisy, just to bash Bush, or score political points, is disgraceful.
