Once again, we get a poster that says that Bush doesn't compare favorably because of his border policies.. BUT, you praise Reagan....WHO STARTED THIS WHOLE FIASCO
Reagan gave an amnesty. And it was unpopular but at least he openly called it that. It was for 3 million. And he got Congress to pass employer sanctions. Reagan operated in good faith. It was the three subsequent presidents who have refused to enforce the laws.

Reagan signed his amnesty bill in 1986 -- he had almost THREE YEARS to enforce it.
[BTW: I suggest you read Reagan's speeches and writings on illegal/legal immigration . . . Given the content of your recent posts, I'm quite sure you'd be surprised by his perspective!]

From what I have read...REAGAN did't even make a point of enforcing his own bill, re: employers.
