"Reagan was a great, but flawed man. Why can people accept that. Dubya is the same."

I understand and accept Reagans flaws. His presidency is history, and he won the cold war.

GWB is not yet history. What conservatives like me are trying to do is minimize his adverse impact to our future so we can have this historical argument (in english) at some point and realize how bad his domestic policies really were to our country.

RF, I hope we can all convince him that his amnesty plan is wrong, but I'm gonna cut him some slack because I expect the House to kill it.

Reagan ....won the cold war.

He won a cease fire.

Russia is still siding with our enemies, and hoping to resurrect its empire. If this new pact with Russia, China and Iran gets going, we may find ourselves in WWIII with Russia aligned on the other side with the other communist states in the world and the islamofascist tiger as their temporary pet.

Once again...the point you bring up about Reagan's presidency is winning the cold war...

But, for Bush's you bring up immigration...

REAGAN SET THE PRECEDENT FOR AMNESTY...

No, he didn't. President Reagan took down the Soviet Union, but did not win the Cold War.

The two are entirely separate issues in all honesty.
