Yes, let's trot out the vigilante charge. Why I haven't heard that since way back when the ACLU tried it.
Does vigilante mean annoy or disagree with policy? Maybe you want to look that up.

"And we intend to make it even harder for such dour parasitic lice as these to remain AS public servants."
Dour parasitic lice.
Great line.
Great post, thank you SofA.

I'm starting to think politicians think elections work backwards.
The way it should be: Politicians get elected, listen to the voice of their consitituents, act / vote accordingly.
The way it is: Politicians get elected, vote according to their own whim while assuming the constituents agree with them.
This is another example of why term limits are so necessary. The argument against them is "what about the great statesman that we would no longer be able to vote for?" Answer: Are there any politicians out there right now that inspire such loyalty that *ANYONE* would lose sleep over not being able to vote for them?
On the contrary, there are many, many politicians that have deserved to be thrown out for years. Where term limits would have done the job for us, we are still stuck listening to Kennedy et al...
The pols know they are essentially immune from reprocussions of their decisions, especially senators who are only up for election every 6 years.

"She told us to leave immediately or we would be reported to the Capitol Police and arrested. Wow. So much for constituent free speech!"Next time, Spirit, you should adopt the dress of an illegal alien, carry a "reconquista"/viva Aztlan sign, and loudly demand your "rights".
I'm sure you will be handed a cup of coffee, offered a photo-op with the the Senator, and invited to stay for lunch...

If thirteen people came to my office without an appointment, I'd usher them out too. It would have made more sense, and maybe more impact, for you all to have gone in one at a time.

Why hasn't anyone?
One would think that anyone simply opposing his immigration policies would easily win down there.
Then again, by 2010 it may be far too late. Is AZ one of those states where he has to relinquish his senate seat in order to run for pres.?

Make sure you speak McRino's language and say things like:
"Buenos dias. ¿Por qué usted nos llama los extranjeros ilegales? Ésta es nuestra tierra que usted robó de nosotros."
("Good morning. Why do you call us illegal aliens? This is our land which you stole from us.")

McCain's the one who said he'd rather have "clean government" than the First Amendment. He's a loose cannon, and I'm just terrified he's going to be the Republican nominee for 2008.
And yet, 30% of the visitors here seem to express a desire to vote for him regardless. They must think that they will get cooties if they touch a lever labled "3rd party."

I am from MN but I am glad for the conservative nature of the Republican Party in Texas and most of what I know or read of the national politicians from Texas (except for CINO/RINO GW Bush). That being said, I am puzzled as to Gov Perry inactions to secure his own border irregardless of the Senate Dims, RINO's, CINO's & the Bush administration. If Gov Perry is that strong of an advocate in clamping down on illegal aliens pouring into Texas plus millions who already live in Texas, then why doesn't he just order the Texas National Guard up to secure his own Texas/Mexican border. I think that Gov Perry is not as staunch an advocate to secure the borders & expell the illegals as you think he is.
I wish that we would have just ONE border state governor who would order out his own National Guard to stop the invasion, and then just ignore the howls of rage from the Mexicans or libs/lefties in this country. And most definitely just IGNORE any activist judge who would order him to cease & desist. Geez, I wish we had governors & politicians with balls!
To: daybreakcoming
mccain will not make it out of the primaries so I am not too worried about him being our nominee. What I am worried about is we have no viable nominee. Absolutely true. My biggest fear is we can't seem to find any strong, unapologetic, conservative and COMBATIVE Repub politician who will eagerly go on the offense instead of being like GW Bush and get pounded day & night with only an occasional rebuttal. By the way I am not an advocate of CINO GW Bush. I just wish that we could get a bona fide, legitimate conservative who doesn't give a rat's a$$ for political correctness and fires from both barrels. INCLUDING CLAMPING DOWN ON ILLEGAL ALIENS, SECURING THE BORDER AND DEPORTING THE ILLEGALS THROUGH EMPLOYER FINES & JAIL SENTENCES FOR HIRING THEM.
To: rcrngroup
You have a fairly good reading of Gov Perry as far as I am Concerned. We are again faced with a Hobson's choice of lesser evils. You can only vote for best, when good isn't running.

What you speak of is exactly why I do not trust anyone associated with the Democrat Party.
A party that rejects God can not have the moral base on which to stand when push comes to shove.
John McCain is no friend to America.
Some how over the past few years McCain has morphed into a self aggrandizing person.
His allegiances are not to the people who brought him to the big dance called government service.
I have seen the enemy of true conservatism and he is the various number of RINOS now occupying jobs in the Senate.
May I remind all that these RINOS are not doing that good of a job and should be replaced when feasible to our needs.
