The good Lord bless him.
Time will just make him greater and greater.

At his funeral there was a dirge that just chilled me in its haunting beauty. It is also the theme in the movie "We Were Soldiers"

Asking all here - Does anyone know of a good recording of this hymn ( or its name ) other than the movie soundtrack?

Thanks for the help if you know.

He was the first POTUS that I was old enough to vote for, and to this day I treasure making that vote. He was a genuine conservative, albeit with his own faults, and I hope that we get another one at least vaguely similar in my lifetime.

On a lighter note, this image always makes me chuckle. It shows his spontaneous character and connect with the American people, as well as the press corp.

Whenever I think about the change in the Republican party since he left office, it reminds me of the line from Simon and Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson, only I replace it with "where have you gone Ronald Reagan".

I thought for a while we might see the ghost of the Gip in Chuck Grassley. Instead, it's been Paul Wellstone.

I agree...can we assume that he is spinning in his grave?

A friend of mine came up with this: The Republicans are now the Democrats, and the Democrats are now the Communists.

Overall, I can't really disagree with that thinking, at least when applied to the U.S. Senate and RINO governors.
