,

I think that murtha is being held in a padded room this weekend.

He needs to be. The guy is a traitor. He is the worst kind of legislator we can have, an ex-Marine who held himself out to be the saving grace for the country when in reality he is waving the flag merely to save his sorry ass on top of 2,400 graves of our finest soldiers, who gave it all for their country! Here is a little background on the traitor, AKA murtha.

Some time ago the American Spectator published an interesting piece on Mr. murtha at:

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?_id=9359

The article, by David Holman, points out how few stories have been run in the Wash. Post about Murtha and how many about Tom Delay once more showing the double standard imposed by the drive-bys with close to 200 articles written about Abramoff/Delay vs. a "dozen or so mentions of Kit Murtha Robert c. Murtha or Robert Murtha in 15 years" accd. to Holman.

Kit of course is the brother of John Murtha who has had 20 million bucks lobbed his way to fellow clients by brother John and ethics investigators are "hot on the trail"(but not really) but you would never know it by reading the msm.

In the same piece Holman points out how the Hill reported that john murtha is the top house recipient of campaign contributions from the defense industry for the past three years sucking up about 200 k from his buddies in the defense industry.

Indicating that Murtha's corruption is not a new thing he is also an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Abscam Scandal, a sting operation in the late 70's in which one senator and five reps were convicted of bribery and conspiracy. Murtha was videotaped telling an undercover FBI agent "I'm not interested. I'm sorry at this point"(who knows what he would have done later) when a house ethics committee cleared Murtha(only due to a a 6-6 tie on straight party lines after heavy lobbying by a fellow dem who later had second thoughts) it's reported the committees lead counsel, E Barret Prettyman Jr. quickly resigned. When asked by Roll Call if he had resigned because of the committees Murtha vote he said "that would be a logical conclusion." Prettyman has otherwise declined to comment on the Murtha case.

Then there is even more about the Abscam escape from prosecution here:

http://www.cnsnews.com/viewPolitics.asp?page=%5CPolitics%5Carchive%5C200601%5...

Another interesting aspect about Murtha's checkered career is his reluctance to release his full military records, what can he be hiding, we will never know.

In analyzing Murtha's current stance on why we should pull out of Iraq I come to the conclusion, from these links and about 20 or 30 other I have read, that Murtha could care less about Iraq. His entire Iraq ruse is simply designed to give him cover for possible prosecution or investigations on numerous fronts including defense contracts allocations, and possible criminal charges dating back as far as the abscam scandal.

In good old Clintonista fasihion Murtha has concocted a defense strategy(who knows possibly with a willing legal counsel as well)that says if you go after me on anything I will simply cry bias because of my stance on the war. Pretty slick, but it won't fly.

In other words Murtha is just a sleezy crook--clinton/ style who has built up a huge defense based on anti-war machinations that probably don't even exist.

He's a fraud and in doing it the way he has done he has also become a traitor to his country selling out the noble efforts and huge accomplishments of our troops in a time of war.

OK. We have finished the shed and I am watching the Blitzkrieg against Rummy. Righ now he has on former general Batiste, and this is the first time that I have seen him. Belligerent and sounds like his IQ isn't the tops. He is going after Rumsfeld and saying that none of the last 3 Joint Chiefs has been alone in the room with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and without Rumsfeld. He is insinuating that the Joint Chiefs are intimidated by Rumsfeld. Brings up the Goldwater-something act. He is getting far too much air time in my opinion, but of course this is CNN.

Oh, Batiste has scored the Trifecta in talking points, nanging to use "boots on the ground", "accountability", and getting the RIGH secretary all in the same sentence. "Victory hangs in the balance" he says. Also says troops are stressed and overextended (Murtha talking points).

I hope I haven't missed George Allen. I thought this started at 12...but now I remember that was last year, before Indiana went on Daylight Savings Time.

#376, Tremendous, informative post. It lays all the treachery out there for all of us to see. Here is hoping it makes a difference and he loses his race and is indicted and put in an Alzheimer's Home.
