I believe that may be because even the Dems that watch Meet The depressed are tired of the same old group with the same old mantra. They see that Steffie has real Celebrities and Entertainers on his Show sometimes. He may sound dumber than dirt sometimes,but is Younger,better looking and much thinner and more appealing than Russert. Russert is totally predictable,but Steffie is not as tone deaf as Russert, and even though you know he is a left wing partisan Hack, he is like Avis, when you are not number one you try harder. LOL!
The GOP has gone to the well too many times with this issue.
It's a sad state of affairs when a political party has to pander to felons, minorities, special interest groups and dead people to win elections. This is what is so repugnant to me. The Democrats cannot tell people what they stand for because they know they will lose elections by telling the truth.
Here here.
It is a sympton of the modern world everything has to be prefaced with something, no one it seems is willing to go out of a limb without a safety net.
The expression back in the day is IMHO most annoying. LOL
Exactly.
Good catch. I remember from the 2000 campaign how he was going to fight for this and fight for that. Fight, fight, fight! I wondered just who he was going to fight?
answer: Us. Conservatives. The Right.
I agree on the special award, and add that LBJ was such a Civil rights guy he was renown for constantly using the "N" word.
The Sunday Show Lineup
By: Mark Kilmer · Section: Other Politics
For Sunday, June 4, 2006Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert talks to (EXCLUSIVE!)... Joe Biden. Then he chats with Hans Blix about his UN WMD Commission.
FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace talks to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, then to Lindsey Graham and Jack Reed about Haditha.
Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer ask questions of Secretary Rice with the help of time mag's Mike Duffy.
This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos talks to Al Gore about that weird movie. I hear it's a cross between a drunk professor's lecture vid and John Waters's Pink Flamingoes.
Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks to Secretary Rice, Senators George Allen and Carl Levin, Hans Blix, and his cast of thousands.
~~~~~It's Condi Rice week, which adds some sanity and enjoyment. Hans Blix? I thought he had died. Carl Levin and Jack Reed are generally miserable in disposition, but Lindsey Graham and George Allen will have things to say: Allen because he's running for President, Graham because... well, he always has something to say.
If I can sit through Gore -- half-maniac/half-dullard -- we can call it a bonus, but the review of the shows will be here at RedState early Sunday afternoon.
He has two comments I love:
Hans Blix? I thought he had died
Gore -- half-maniac/half-dullard
Those are keepers. And his review of AlGore's "movie" is a riot.
Agreed. Virtually everything that happens, or has happened, is the new reason to get out of Iraq and/or fire someone on the Bush team. They say it like it's a new thought but it's the same tired record over and over.
No wonder we keep using the phrase "stuck on stupid" so much.
Any chance of this version being voiced anywhere?
Had to go feed the tarpon running a little late this morning.
Thanks so much for all these juicy political tidbits you give us every week!
Joe Biden on MTP here .. I wonder if he'll defend Iran like he use to?
Probably why he wanted to acknowledge the Republican votes
Short answer no
Hello rod hope you don't mind but I have already awarded 3 single post awards.
We'll hear it on FR and other internet related sites but I wouldn't hold my breath to hear it on old media.
So true.
"Oh, good news. Al Gore looked relaxed at the opening of his film. ;-)"
Yea, and "prosperous". Whatever in the world that meant!!
:o)
Excellent analysis, snugs!
Good morning everyone.
