Robin made a good speech, probably the best I have heard him make, but so did Bobbie.

I was kind of surprised that Eberle didn't win myself. I knew it would be a close election by how people reacted when I was handing out lapel stickers. Eberle had a marching army of people handing out stickers and campaign literature all clad in his blue and white corporate t-shirts. Robin had our rag-tag group of volunteers handing out a limited number of stickers and very limited amount of campaign literature - no matching t-shirts.

Eberle had a big event with other speakers, food and entertainment on Friday. Robin's event was in a rather small suite up on the 32nd floor and had limited amounts of fruit and beverages that kept running out as fast as the hotel staff could resupply it. But people kept lining up down the hall waiting to meet and talk to Robin, even if that was all that they got for waiting in line.

Up until the word came back that Robin had won, I wasn't sure that it would go Robin's way. I'm glad that Bobbie didn't push for a floor fight, like Gina Parker did last convention. I think it would have caused more harm to the Party and the outcome probably would have turned out the same.

Apparently the media was primed to jump on Eberle's past if he had won. But since Robin did, the media is perplexed in how to spin it. Mostly their articles have been downplaying Robin's win. But you can bet they eventually will be gunning for Robin like they have gone after other prominent black Republican officials.

Me too! But I think you're getting Gina confused with Mark Cole and the floor vote with Bill Crocker, after the convention was informed that President Reagan had died. Gina had already graciously conceded, like Bobby Eberle did this time.

I think the MSM will attempt to ignore Dr. Armstrong, like they have the three statwide elected black Republicans.
