I understand his latest rendition of the "facts" proves that his Christmas trip into Cambodia took place in February.

It's only coincidental that by February '69 Steven Gardner had finished his tour with Kerry on the 94 boat.

The scary part is that Hillary will cut his balls off in a debate on national when she asks him why he hasn't signed the 180.

All the other candidates would have to be out of the race making it a one on one confrontation. After Super Tuesday it will be down to Hillary and someone, but it's not clear Kerry will be that one. There'll be other candidates like Feingold, Warner, Biden etc. And if it does come down to those two, she would only resort to that if she thought she was in danger of losing. But it would be entertaining wouldn't it?

If Senator Kerry wants to end the whispering about his Military service, he can simply sign Form 180. Form 180 gives the Military legal authority to release all the Senator's Military records to the Public.

That's not quite right, if you look at the form, the signer has the option to make it a limited release, or a general release. He apparently signed 3 limited releases. Apparently releasing all of his records, or at least the active duty ones, that isn't clear becuase the forms are very sloppily filled out. Each release provide for copies of the records to be sent to one each AP, Boston Globe, and LA Times reporters. All very friend to JF'nK, and Demos in general, the farther left the better.

Kerry enlisted in Navy RESERVE, not Navy

That's common. Most people coming out of ROTC and OTS are given reserve commissions. I have one as a matter of fact. At some times, some select few are offered regular commissions as are service Academy graduates. Later, about the time they make O-3 (Captain/Lt. in Navy) they may be selected for a regular commision, if they intend to stay on active duty. WHen the services need officers, they may keep some fraction of reserve officers on active duty. At other times they don't. Right now the Air Force has notified some 800+ Lieutenants that their services are no longer needed. They are encouraged to transfer to the active rserve, or to the Army which is desperately short of LTs.

Why we are kicking people out of the Air Force in the middle of a war, you'd have to ask the CinC and the Republican Congress. Friday night I was talking to a member of the AZ National Guard, who's at Ft. Hood preparing to deploy to Afghanistan. When I told him that about the AF LTs being let go, his jaw literally dropped.

I'm surprised they didn't open with "Senator John Kerry, who served in Viet Nam, ..."

I wonder if these are records that the Swifties had any access to?

Nope, he only released his records to the AP, LA Times and Boston Globe. However the Swifites could be looking over unit records, after action reports and so forth.

Researchers are poring over naval records; Kerry has asked that his entire Navy file be released, and other veterans are giving their recollections.

Yeah--researchers hired by sKerry. And, since when has sKerry asked that his entire Navy file be released to the public. If it ever is, I look forward to a thorough dissection of it here at FreeRepublic. Let me guess--the only veterans whose recollections will count in sKerry's eyes are those that agree to back his accounts.

I hope the Swiftboat Vets will stay on top of this. sKerry is hoping to pull a Clinton and publicize a supposed review of his record prior to 2008 so he can stand up during the presidential campaign and claim any questions about it are old news. Won't work.

Not sure of this one. She might do it as a preemptive strike to intimidate all the others from bringing up her baggage. Don’t forget the FBI files!

Yes, this will be fun! The problem is she might win. We will need a squeaky-clean candidate with balls of steel to go toe-to-toe with this woman.

The Clinton mystique lives on. I was in New Orleans to hear Bill and GHWB give the commencement address at Tulane. Granted it was a college crowd, but it was also clear that Clinton is still loved by the DUmmies.

House political strategist Karl Rove went straight at Kerry's most significant strength: his war record. In the following months, Kerry was accused of shooting himself to get the purple hearts;

There are two blatant lies right here. No one has ever established that Karl Rove had anything to do with the Swift Vets--they were a wholly independent group organized to prove what a fraud Kerry was. The Swift Vets did not accuse Kerry "of shooting himself to get the purple hearts[.]" They did accuse him of using negligently self-inflicted wounds that were ineligible for purple hearts improperly to obtain those medals.

Kerry is Old News already. Why is this even coming up? Unless he wants to get this out of the way for a future run. Oh Please.

"Opinions or comments - anyone?"

Yeah, there is no reason to even engage him in this debate at this point in time. It took a lot of effort and money to get the truth out, and there is no reason for people to continue to bankrupt their time and energy arguing this ad-nausium.

Mr. Kerry, the time to debate this outside a court of law has passed. If you think you can sue, go for it. :)
