Wonder how many were on the dole?
I lived in Mississauga in the seventies. Back then, it was solidly upper middle class. I shudder to think what a Muslim enclave it must be now.
Purchasing handguns in NYS isn't exactly easy. It would be interesting to know where they came from.
Aparently, Georgia.
'disaffected youths'
Sounds like aa bunch of Irish guys.
Oh, oh -- They're racially profiling Muslim youths again. A good lawyer and these guys will never have to work again. The shame of it all!
If you're an honest law abiding citizen, I'd agree. If your methods and motives are nefarious, I'd say it would be quite easy indeed.
The dateline is Aug 13th 2005. My copy of the the Toronto Star which had the scoop on the big bust, says that these two were given two year sentences last October.
If they were given two years, it is the pits for them. To keep persons out of the Federal prison system, a sypathetic judge in Canada will give "two years less a day". This puts the person in the milder and better controlled Provincial system.
I just would not like to be any one of these guys, if they are in for two years Federal custody.
That's my question - why were they not in custody as the 2005 story says?
Which TWO men?
I saw only one match.
I hope that I am wrong on this.
I hope that I am wrong on this.
Persons listed 2006: Yasim Mohamed,24yrs. Mohammed Dirie,22yrs.
Easy to be confused, but..... who knows the beggers could still have been released.
bttt
No Harm Done!
They change their names like they change their places of residence - and have a choice of about twenty acceptable monikers they rotate throughout a "cell"....none of them the names they were given at birth no doubt.
DNA is the only way these people can be identified - along with the usual biometric and other devices these days thank the lord we have for our use.
Regardless of who is whom - they are like robotic clones and all think and act in tandem so it matters not who is caught and caught again - they are all one.
Everyone is a winner this time. A splendid read out in today's Toronto Star. Credit where credit is due, otherwise damage control in excess. Each male suspect is profiled. A neat resume, their careers and families, "such nice boys" and so on. Still, good reporting by the Star. Both Yasin Abdi Mohamed and Mohammed Dirie, aka Ali, were named in the "mass arrests". I now quote the Star.
"At the time of the raid Friday,Dirie and Mohamed were in a Kingston penitentary, each serving a two year sentence. They were stopped last year by the Canadian Border Security Agency.....".
Now for the big laugh. Quoting an article in the Star again. "Aside from the fact that virtually all are young men, there is no common denominator" (Bold mine). The contributors to this statement are: Surya Bhattacharya, Nasreen Gulamhussain and Heba Aly.
ROTFL.
Thanks for the update!
Keep your backs safe up there northern brother - don't let your guard down - in fact I hope your government will think seriously about upping the security factors.
The only "safe" from harm facilities seem to be buildings housing the media!!!
