Blah Blah... Sorry but the bigger issues are in play.. I for one give him the benefit of the doubt and so will history.... If the House and Senate do not provide the right legislation to deal with the illegals then maybe they should lose.. in the mean time I am 100 percent behind this President who by the way remains a true U.S. hero as history will judge...

the right legislation to deal with the illegals ????

We have laws. Bush does not enforce them. And now he wants more legislation - more laws that he won't enforce. This ain't nuthin' but dogs and ponies.

Is that a time machine in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? You have no more of an idea how history will judge "W" than an ant does.

George W. Bush has been and is today a dunce when it comes to the illegal alien invasion issue. If he allows 10's of millions more illegal or legal Mexicans in to the US because he had a Mexican nanny when he was a kid he is likely to be seen as the president that killed America.

The illegal alien invasion issue appears to be to him what "no new taxes" or "the checkout scanner" was to his father. As far as I'm concerned the queers (<1% of the population) can get married every day if they like if the president shuts down the borders and stops the decay and expense brought by allowing Vincente Fox and the owners of Mexico to dump their poorest and most wretched here. Mexico should be taking care of their folks, not us.

Maybe someone should just drive the president around Houston or most other cities in Texas so he can see what's happening. I see that Texas Gov. Rick Perry wants to put cameras on the border to show the Mexicans coing across. Heck, all he needs to do is put them on the freeways now.

I'm tired of being taxed to support these folks. Send them back to their own countries.

Just out of curiosity, my friend, what is your concept of the "right legislation?"

I also like and respect President Bush as a person, however, I am scared to death that if we don't secure our borders NOW (and it may already be too late) something terrible is going to happen.

The President is one of those leading the charge for the almost treasonous Senate legislation. He shares a lot of blame for where we have reached on this issue. He is one of those leading us off the cliff and leading us to national suicide.

Bush will not be judged a hero if he signs into law what he is pushing. He'll be remembered as a President who responded well to 9/11 but that will be overshadowed by the legacy of his virtual open borders policies and his push torwards ammnesty (if he wins on the issue). He'll go down as a dismal failure and one of the most destructive presidents in history.

I respect and like President Bush as a person.

As a Hero?

Yes he was (and could still be) an inspirational, charismatic, Hero (and leader we would gladly follow anywhere) if he could only find himself and revert back to the George Bush (we knew and loved) who stood at Ground Zero, moved many of us to tears, and made us proud (in spite of the attack and our losses) to be AMERICANS!

This is the President Bush I so wish we could have today and taking a "Leadership" role (and taking it right to the people as the Gipper did) on so many issues, near and dear to our (Conservative) hearts.

"I hear you," he said!

He may still "hear us" but sadly, I don't believe he is any longer listening--at least to the majority of us who supported and voted for him.
