Not to diminish any of the other issues, how many people were voting for "immigration reform" in 2004?????

You probably played ostrich this year and burried your head in the sand. The millions of illegal aliens didn't take over our streets in 2003-2004. They did so this year. It is an issue now.

It is an issue now.

It's been one for decades. Why now? Because Bush is the first president to take it on, and the MSM has decided to focus on the MinuteMen and the rallies, and lofty speeches of the do-nothing-congresscritters (who've looked aside all these years) who are using it, in many cases, for their own political gains?

It WAS an issue here in the SW in 2004, that's when we passed prop 200 to McCain's chagrin since he actually showed up in AZ to try and defeat it -- however what was the choice Kerry (who said he would throw open the border) or Bush (who we knew was an open border guy)???
