(Crickets?)

No - It is called being busy (and the discussion I was having with others on this thread (Plutarch for example has went to the PM) -

Furthermore it is intellectually empty to suggest that unless a President make exact statements in reference to future solutions....his is never again entitled to do so?

That is perverted logic - So now unless GWB clearly laid out every idea he had regarding any and all specifics for any and all problems.....he is not allowed to do so after 2000 or 2004??

Simply foolishness -

And you can't show me anywhere were GWB said he was not in favor of allowing those illegally here to ever have a path to citizenship -

GWB is a good man and d*mn fine POTUS / CIC - He is looking to deal with a 40 (20) year in the making problem through a comprehensive approach.

He is not offering blanket amnesty in the least. Nor is he offering all those currently here illegally (who have come over the last 20 years...a sizable portion of the due to are terribly flawed guest worker programs) to even attain citizenship......Only the process from which they must qualify, pay penalties, meet requirements, etc, etc.

We have 3 major issues regarding this 40 (20) year in the making problem.

1. Border security (which has increased since 2001 and there are ongoing further measures which are clearly needed).

2. Fix / reform the currently terribly flawed guest / temporary worker programs (for those coming in now and into the future) - While understand a sizable portion of those who are currently here illegally came here via the temporary legal route -

3. A solution to what we do with the current 12 million illegals that are currently here (that have come over the last 20 years) - The idea of mass deportation is not a realistic option and anyone who is willing to be intellectually honest understands this (hell we could not deport one 6 year old Cuban boy without the nation practically tearing itself apart) -

Therefore as a serious leader...GWB must make decisions based off options that are actually available to us in the real world -

I believe he is seriously looking to do just this - While I also hope the House will further put some stricter laws in place such as stopping "birth right citizenship"

To understand just how terribly flawed the current guest worker / temporary worker programs are (that GWB wants fixed)...read below (with link).

- The little-acknowledged reality is that nearly half the estimated 12 million undocumented foreigners in the United States entered on bona fide U.S. visas — and simply never left. Authorities call them "overstays" who have been largely overlooked in the vitriolic debate on immigration.

I'll pass on that little shot there, heck if that's all ya got?

But the most frequently stated comment was " two six year terms for guest workers then their out of here".

I think everyone who followed the campaign would agree there was no 'path to citizenship' stated or implied.

So please share with us why Dubya wants 20 million new Democrat voters here?
