Oh I see, you're sticking with the "it's not really amnesty, honest!" talking points.
Why didn't Bush mention a "process for illegals to become legal" when asked?
He just said "no amnesty." And "temporary workers," and by your claim it's our fault if we confused the issue. That's dishonest BS.
And you can't show me where he discussed this "process" prior to his second term or you would have done so by now.
This is perverted logic - So now unless GWB clearly laid out every idea he had regarding any and all specifics for any and all problems.....he is not allowed to after 2000 or 2004??
That is foolishness -
And you can't show me anywhere were GWB said he was not in favor of allowing those illegally here to ever have a path to citizenship -
GWB is a good man and d*mn fine POTUS / CIC - He is looking to deal with a 40 (20) year in the making problem through a comprehensive approach.
He is not offering blanket amnesty in the least. Nor is he offering all those currently here illegally (who have come over the last 20 years...a sizable portion of the due to are terribly flawed guest worker programs) to even attain citizenship......Only the process from which they must qualify, pay penalties, meet requirements, etc, etc.
