Looked at the source for this story - a blogger as of June 2006? Any other sources? Where did he get the story?
Not that I doubt that it is true, but I'm leary of bloggers.
Hala Jaber has also been pushing this story along with the false Atwar Bahjat beheading story.

The Haditha "scandal" is running out of steam.

Time Magazine has it's paws all over this story also.
The bodies will have to be exhumed to PROVE the Marines did this. Their weapons have been confiscated for ballistics matching HOWEVER the Iraqis will NOT allow the exhumation of the victims bodies because of religious reasons.
Unless there are CONFESSIONS how can our Marines possibly be CHARGED much less convicted?

without multiple witness statements, the marine corps won't be able to charge these guys in court. the lack of ballistics information coupled with this new information about how the family of one house knew about the IED ahead of time and that the source of the info is a jihadist terrorist would be great for a defense lawyer to chew on. i hope they're all acquitted.
