There is no low the Dems won't sink to, and you don't find out from the MSM.

I would say, if true this is much worse than 3 fight tickets,

LOL! This is really funny. I think Pelosi is toast after this election, whether or not the dems win the House.
To: FairOpinion
Do your crimes as long as you folks don't campaign against taking my job OK?
Could a white Republican get away with what Jefferson has so far?

There is an opening here if the RNC will wise up. They need to keep after her and continue questioning where she stands on this guy.
To: FairOpinion
She can't obstruct without them and they hold all the cards. The "race" cards, that is.
"I won't call you names if you don't call me names". How friggin childish.

So let me get this straight...
The Justice Dept people get a court order for evidence, which Jefferson ignores for eight months.
In spite of the length of time involved, and in spite of the convictions of alleged co-cospirators, the House leadership (both sides) allow Jefferson to keep the evidence in his office, and keep his Committee assignments.
Both sides admit, in their better days, that Jefferson would've been a goner if he'd been a white male GOP person.
Now, it seems to me that the problem is not only with a single Congressman, but rather with a whole sespool (both sides that allows that mushroom to keep growing while hip-deep in feeces.
The Culture of Corruption does seem to cover both parties.

in exchange for a promise from the Congressional Black Caucus that they won't campaign against her in advance of this fall's critical mid-term elections. That was on the menu? I doubt the CBC would actually expend any funds against Nancy.

Pelosi struck a deal with the Black Caucus in a closed door meeting last Friday to "hold off taking any pre-indictment action against Jefferson" as long as the group refrains from attacking her. Typical POLITICIAN, sell out the values of the American people by overlooking a FELONY committed by a fellow Congressman.
And Congress just can't seem to understand why the American People view them with so much disdain...

Guys, take it from me -- a Louisianian -- that we shouldn't be in too much of a hurry to show Jefferson the door. Every day he remains in office is a day of negative publicity for the bad guys and we're having loads of fun with this down here in Louisiana.
Pop this link up, for a great read. We're circulating this one down here:
Hurricane Tax Preparedness: Are you as ready as Congressman Jefferson?
You'll need to scroll down about halfway down the page.
And don't get me wrong. I want Jefferson to pay big time for what he's done. It's just that this is one of those rare instances where delaying justice does not necessarily deny it.

It's good to know that the race card also works when played against DemocRATS.

By the way, am I the only one who remembers Aaron Brown of CNN, in the aftermath of Katrina, describing the Congressional Black Caucus as "the conscience of the Congress"?
Anyone think we can get Aaron to comment on this story?
To: FairOpinion
To Democrats justice is totally negotiable. To the others, denial is justice enough.

Deal or no Deal. And the winner is Nancy!!
To: FairOpinion
Does this indicate that Pelosi anticipates a leadership fight, and she's willing to keep a crook in a committee in order to appease a racist club that might otherwise oppose her in that fight?
