Snow: Flow of illegals not an 'invasion'
Spokesman says Article 4 of Constitution doesn't apply to border issue
Saying Mexico is "not the enemy," presidential press secretary Tony Snow today rejected the characterization of the constant flow of illegal aliens over the U.S. border as an "invasion."
At today's White House press briefing, WND asked the spokesman: "Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution says, 'The United States shall guarantee to every state in the Union a republican form of government and shall protect each of them from foreign invasion.' My question is, does the president believe this foreign invasion means only armed invasion, or doesn't this also mean the invasion of millions of illegal immigrants?"
Responded Snow: "I think what you are doing is you're attaching a martial connotation to something that does not have martial consequences. …
"What the president has said – if you were talking about an invasion, he's made it clear that Mexico is not the enemy."
WND also asked Snow about a lawsuit by war veteran Sgt. Peter Damon, who lost both of his arms in Iraq. Damon has sued Michael Moore for using clips without his permission in "Fahrenheit 9/11" to give the false impression that he opposed the war.
"I didn't lose my arms over there to come back and be used as ammunition against my commander in chief," Damon was quoted as saying.
"If he is asked," queried WND, "will this commander in chief be willing to testify in court on behalf of this double amputee sergeant?"
Snow called it a "hypothetical question"
"Please don't put me in the position of trying to answer to a lawsuit between somebody who served his country and Michael Moore," Snow said. "We'll let them deal with it."
Tony is evading the invasion.
In addition to having a foreign government aiding and encouraging their own citizens to invade our country and actively encourage their own citizens to undermine our laws, culture and government, there are also nightly incursions into United States territory by heavily armed soldiers of the Mexican Army, to provide escort for drug runners and illegals. There have been shootouts between them and our border patrol and other law enforcement. There are also a whole lot of other, armed illegals that come across our borders nightly that aren't here looking for a job!
If the framers of the Constitution were alive today to see what is going on with the illegals, they would call this an invasion.
Unfortunately my tagline is all too true. If illegals aren't deported and the guest worker plan permanently rejected you will see it first hand. I've lived at ground zero of the 'invasion' and I've seen how fast you can lose entire cities. It isn't going to stop at California's borders, it's coming to every state sooner than you can imagine.
Who is that directed at?
Here's the deal - we want a libertarian immigration policy, we need a libertarian country. You want socialism, crack out the guns and build the walls.

If you listen carefuly, you can hear the sound of the formerly straight-talking Tony Snow losing his last bit of credibility.
Once they consulted the liberal republicans and dems in congress who told them "tone it down a little, we are trying to keep the idiots who really love America in the dark from knowing the truth, the invaders, only then, backed off, for appearance sake only.
Tony Snow is wrong and he is schilling for those who seek to destroy our way of life. Snow should at least have the minerals to say, "Americans, we don't give a damn what you think, this is what the leadership wants, and to hell with the rest of you." I would resent it, but I would respect him for telling us the damn true nature of his (and the Administration's heart). If Tony didn't agree with these notions, he should resign on principle. But he obviously agrees.
What flagrant disregard for the will of the people, especially the will of the people who put your ass in office. It is disgusting and dangerous. There are a lot of people out here who are fed up to their eyeballs with this invasion.
Where are the schills for the Adminstration answering questions, like....in this day and age of Social Security going bankrupt, how will the new SS recepients not bankrupt a failing system even faster than it is going now. How will this keep a health care delivery system from imploding faster than it is now. How will government education keep from floundering more profoundly than it is now with a new and burdonson load of non-English speaking people to be educated. I get the feeling that this is their desired objective, but to what end I cannot fathom would work to their benefit. Where is the debate by the bastards who are foistering this over on a mostly unsuspecting public. Where is Bush? Where is he at a lectern educating the voting public as to why this is the right thing to do. He is AWOL, because he knows Americans do not want the country to be given away for votes. I had rather keep my country and loose some elections and hold to some principles than what the Adminstration is doing along with a complicitous senate and left wing. He is doing this because he wants to do this, but he does not give a reasoned analysis to us. Convince me and I will go with you. But don't expect to have me check my mind and my childrens future at the door. If it were just me and my wife, I would not be so exercised, but I have three children that he wants to destroy their futures for the sake of a G*ddamn election. This is wrong, dead wrong!

Of course he's in favor of what this Administration is doing. It's exactly what CFR wants: open borders, "orderly flow of migrants" (that's doublespeak for illegals to invade America and taking away from America's sovereignty).
Tony Snow is a weenie. Bush just picked him because he was so -----bland, mainstream, noncontroversial. Soothing the feathers of the conservative out here in the hinter lands. (all of us uninformed unwashed masses.) BAAAAAAAh. No self respecting Texan gives a hoot about such a wimp. Makes my stomach turn. Keep talking, November '06 will be a bloodbath for the GOP. Can't wait to help with that and I'm a dyed and dipped Republican since Reagan.

You are absolutely right. When the Mexican government made a policy decision to aid and abet illegal immigration, it became an invasion.
