In the Army we used to say, "all the brothers were valiant, and all the sisters were virtuous". It was widely reported that as a matter of campaign strategy the President, Karl Rove and the RNC were going to give Kerry his due as a decorated Vietnam veteran, but that was not enough for the hate-mongers at the DNC and their media allies. They had to attempt to make Kerry look even better through slander and libel about the President's Air Guard service. In so doing, Kerry forfeited his presumption of honor and courage as a decorated "comrade in arms". Certainly his antiwar and "Winter Soldier" activities deserved the close public scrutiny they would not have gotten but for the "Swifties".

I think it has been demonstrated those who served honorably don't make it an "asset" issue in campaigns.

Kerry is an example of the "cashing in" military service. He is a new breed of lowlife who views military service as politician "free pass" ticket to legitimacy.

This is why I have zero respect for murtha, did you know he was a decorated miliary hero? Murtha, the deocrated miliary hero, is just using his service as a shield to justify his pork barrel left wing lunacy. If Murtha, the decoracted military hero, and Kerry, DID YOU KNOW HE SERVED IN VIETNAM AND REALLY REALLY REALLY spent chritmas in cambodia, did not have military service as a resume talking point they would be doped out hippies speaking to CNN like any other democrat.
