Sometimes I think Ben Stein writes semi-critical columns like this so he can continue to get those roles in Hollywood.
Or maybe he believes this column helps...I don't know. I happened to hear Rush read part of it when I was driving home with my grandchildren, and for all of the criticism of FDR, what the left will seize on is "Bush made mistakes" and "why is Rumsfeld still there?"
Again, we can see that our side doesn't understand how to unify to get the message out. I am convinced that sitting here in Indiana I could concoct a more coherent message than all of the columnists and TV pundits put together, and I certainly don't think that I have a political genius IQ.

Thanks. The commentary I heard was probably last week.
Evidently it's quite chic to bash the oil execs right now.

I saw what you saw and it was on one of last Saturday's Fox morning financial shows. I was truly surprised by some of the things he said.

Thanks for that confirmation. I didn't see the entire show and wondered if I had misunderstood his comments.
Evidently he needed the attention.
How pathetic.
