"Our family lost thousands of acres and evertything they could not carry to the communists and it will take a lot more than these mental midgets to get me down."

REALLY? You family made it to 1938 and then lost thousands of acres... Hmmmm... Thousands of acres in Western Ukraine? You sure you want to continue on with this claim? (HINT: Please check your historical timeline before you make up such claims.)

Oh - wait, first you said they were sent to the GULag, then you denied that claim, then you said the fled the Russians in 1938/39. Now you're saying they had THOUSANDS of acres, lost everything to the communists and then fled.

But, then you say you and your family TRAVELED to the SOVIET UNION in the 1970s!!!! WHAT THE ?#?#?#? You are an absolute fraud. Which claim do you want us to believe? Because if your "family" actually owned "thousands" of acres and "escaped" the Russians - they would have been on the "enemy of the people" list and would NEVER have received a visa to visit the Soviet Union UNLESS they were cooperating with the Soviet regime. So pick a story spanalot - did they escape and never go back? Did they not escape, but immigrate, and then were allowed to visit relatives at a later date? And what makes you so special that you can "forgive" the Soviets for this crime and reward the Soviets with hard currency they earned by your visit. PHONEY!

You may think you can fool some people who don't know enough about Soviet history and the how the criminal regime operated, but frankly I've spent the last 23 years studying them and was taught by actual dissidents, defectors, and Jewish emigres who knew the system well. And you know darn well that you and your family would NEVER have received a visa from the Soviets if your claims about your parents are accurate. UNLESS they were giving the Soviets something in return.

You can't have it both ways spanalot - this is what happens when you lie to people who know better. Shame on you. Fraud.

Sorry to hear about your family but glad you are on our side.

Yeah, my family lost thousands of acres at the end of the Civil War, but I don't look back with hate.

No, you said that. Please check my prior posts and please refrain from slandering me.

You have the credibility problem, not me.

I tried to help but you do not seem motivated to resolve this issue.

Stop the lies - tourist visas were granted as early as 1962.

How dare you compare the US with the genocide of Imperials and Communist Russia?

Putin's response to people who make substantial criticism is to send Mafia members to kill them.

I hate to call somebody a liar, but please produce solid evidence for your statement or live with the label. Remember, I asked for solid evidence, not hearsay rumors.

Of course, and I assume you would have us believe that the Armenians and the Jews and the Cambodians all killed themselves too.

You are very funny. It is noticed your several attempts to change the subject when confronted with fact.

Here's yet more reason your "stories" don't make any sense:

1.) Tourist visas were NOT issued to those who fled the Soviet Union under the circumstances you claim your parents did. Otherwise, as indicated by me in previous posts, my Russian language instructors at DLI would have received visas. Since they were labeled "enemies of the people" they were turned down. Only those deemed "friendly" to the Soviet Union received visas. So, you're basically admitting you were considered a "friendly" to the communist regime.

2.) First you claimed your parents were victims of the GULag. You next claimed your parents fled the Russians in 1939. You recently claimed your parents were stripped of "thousands" of acres and forced to leave with whatever they could carry because the "communists" confiscated their belongings. Here's the problem with your claims. They are factually impossible. Why?

Confiscation of farmland ocurred from 1932-33. If your parents were the owners of "thousands" of acres, they would have been sent to Siberia prior to 1939 OR they would have perished in the manmade famine. Your claims having them being stripped of their property and then "fleeing" Western Ukraine in 1939. Surely you don't stick by these claims? Or are you saying your parents had their property confiscated in 1938-39? Or, did they have it consfiscated in 1932-33? Since all property was confiscated well before 1938, they would have had their property "confiscated" in 1932-33 (or earlier) and would have been sent far away from their lands. But you claim they "fled" from Western Ukraine. So, Spanalie, which is it? Which tale are we now to believe? The GULag Story? The "fleeing the Russians" story? Or, the "confiscation of thousands of acres" story?

This is just a continuation of your exploitation of other peoples misery for your own political gain. Just like the previous "I was interrogated by the KGB, but I never left the US" claims, these are just pure fantasy. You do a disservice to the real victims of Soviet crimes.

"How dare you compare the US with the genocide of Imperials and Communist Russia?"

If I was an American Indian would you make the same claim? Or the descendent of slaves? The great thing about our country, as opposed to your Ukraine, is we can confront the problems of our past, resolve them, and move on. That's why were are a STRONG and VIBRANT nation. As long as Ukraine, Russia, Poland, etc., live in the past they'll continue to repeat the same mistakes they did in the past. You Eastern European nationalists will never understand how your xenophobic pontificating makes you weak and not strong.

I see that you are now answering for Garyspfc.

And not only is his comparison of Russian Genocide with the US beneath contempt, I see that you too are mouthing this anti-Amrican Russian propaganda. I say Russian, because it has been a propaganda mainstay of the Kremlin for 80 years.

How dare you compare the russian genocide of 100 million with US history? And yes, there is absolutely NO truth to the myth of indian genocide.

As usual you attempt to deflect any criticism of Ukrainian complicity with personal attack and insinuation of "anti-Americanism." Only a fool would believe that even in our own history are some blemishes. The main difference between Americans and you Eastern Europeans is our ability to recognize our flaws and ensure that it never happens again. You are either unwilling or unable to recognize the Soviet crimes are Soviet, instead, as your fellow Ukrainian pointed out quite correctly, you attempt use other peoples' deaths (murders) for your own political gains and in doing so you disrespect and dishonor them. Likewise, ignoring the fact that people other than Ukrainians also died in the Soviet crimes significantly reduces the full scope of said crimes. That you repeatedly deny "holocaust" for anybody other than Ukrainians is typical of your Western Ukrainian movement. A movement that worked against the United States on its own soil. I suspect you have ties to that present day movement and as such you work directly against US interests.

But don't worry "spinalot" you are providing us (especially my former co-workers) with plenty of entertainment as you continue to spin your web of lies and work to get any "dissenting" viewpoints of yours banned by FR. While vile activities, I can completely understand why you would resort back to the tactics you learned from the Soviets. You fool nobody.

"Politicians who persecute their satiricists have an inferiority complex problem."

Yes! The Putin regime's pervasive censorship of even unserious criticism illustrates weakness, not strength. A regime confident in its survival and in the propriety of its policies will not stoop to punish dissenters. The confident government always expects that it will win a free and fair argument on the market of ideas and thus has no need to resort to restrictions on liberty.

Putin's position is so precarious that he fears that even the slightest criticism or mockery will topple him.

Lets try this one more time.

What part do you not understand?

The Russians killed 100 million in the last century and the US never committed genocide against slaves or indians.

You'll never convince anyone as long as you argue from a factually incorrect position done so to deflect factual evidence that Ukrainians were involved in EVERY SINGLE SOVIET CRIME at various levels of leadership. That you cannot bring yourself to criticize CRIMINALS who were/are Ukrainian and blame the Russians soley shows you are not interested in honest debate about anything.

But keep misrepresenting facts and changing your own story of your "fight" against the people you actually supported (Soviets). It's fun to watch you twist and turn every time you're caught in yet another lie or spin (which is 'pert near anytime you post on these subjects).

Worth repeating:

"I am not saying that the famine or the other components of the victimization narratives do not deserve historical research and reflection, nor that evil should be ignored, nor that the memory of the dead should not be held sacred. But I object to instrumentalizing this memory with the aim of generating political and moral capital, particularly when it is linked to an exclusion from historical research and reflection of events in which Ukrainians figured as perpetrators not victims, and when “our own” evil is kept invisible and the memory of the others’ dead is not held sacred."[1]

"...the US never committed genocide against slaves or indians."

As usual, you missed my point entirely. But go ahead and spin it in what you think is your favor. Shall I spell it out for you again?

1.) SOVIET genocide was a crime committed by the Soviets and inflicted on citizens of the Soviet Union. The criminals and victims consisted of various ethnicities/nationalities. Laying sole blame on the Russians is not even what most Ukrainians (in Ukraine) would do - as they realize the architect of the famine was a Ukrainian Jew (although they're real quick to point out he was a "Jew" - usually using the derogatory "Zhid" to describe Kaganovich).

2.) The US is strong because we can look back on dark periods in our development as a country and admit we made mistakes. That in turn allows us to never repeat these mistakes and live together harmoniously. The Ukraine, Russia, Poland, etc., will not be able to achieve this until they bury the past - unpleasant as it may be.

"Of course Romanov - the Ukrainians and Cambodians and Jews and Armenians all killed themselves - there was no genocide."

Show me where I said there was no genocide. If you cannot distinguish from me correctly labeling the genocide (demicide) as a Soviet crime instead of incorrectly labeling it a "Russian crime" might I suggest surf on over to DU - they like to play fast and loose with history just like you do.
