Anytime. Thanks for what you are doing. It's nice to see the simple research (homework) I did prior to the invasion confirmed by the documents you are translating.

People don't realize how easy it is to hide this stuff given the proper time and resources.

Just as Saddam create caches of conventional weapons all over the country (which we find daily), he did the same with many of his WMDs.

People also have to understand that chemical and biological weapons are not that hard to make and can be produced with "dual use" equipment. The same factory that makes fertilizer or baby-milk formula can be quickly switched to the production of bio or chemical weapons. Saddam had dozens of such facilities, including mobile labs which we found, but which had been sanitized.

The key to identifying them as such is the medical grade of the equipment. Highly polished stainless steel containers, for example, have no pores in which to leave chemical residue after cleaning. A factory designed just for fertilizer would not justify that expense.

Remember the "baby-milk" factory were accused of bombing in the first gulf war? It really was a baby-milk factory--when it wasn't producing biological agents like anthrax and botulinin toxins. This was proved by UNSCOM inspectors.

All one needs is to hide a suitcase full of the "seed" germs, and you can later re-constitute your bio-weapons program.

The big danger for the Iraqis will be a decade or two from now when these cache sites start leaking their contents into the environment.
