Nothing wrong with expecting courtesy, but some of you folks want to legislate it.

Worse that you probably wouldn't complain if someone farted in an elevator, but you'd be more than happy to berate someone using a cell phone.

You aren't seriously equating a cellphone conversation with an involuntary bodily function, are you? That's silly.

I have nothing against cell phones. I couldn't get along without mine - cancelled the hard line phone years ago and never looked back - but there are many places I wouldn't dream of using mine to make a non-emergency call.
