Buchanan - The state at war with the nation

The Senate, by opening the door to U.S. citizenship for millions of illegal aliens, has cheapened something Americans used to consider priceless. That the Senate would put on a path to U.S. citizenship people who, only a month ago, were marching under Mexican flags is a manifestation of national decline.
In 1963, as Churchill was approaching death, a debate was held in our country and Congress on whether that friend and ally in World War II should be granted U.S. citizenship, an honor previously accorded only to the French hero of the American Revolution, Lafayette.
That is how we treasured citizenship then. But like the dollar and much else, it has been badly depreciated under this generation.
In its decision whether to accept or reject the Senate amnesty-guestworker plan, the Republican House -- which rejected that course last December -- will define itself and the GOP. To the nation, it will be seen as either an independent House to be respected and re-elected as the only people's House in this capital city, or it will be seen as but a tool and rubber stamp of the White House and Senate.

Pat Buchanan ran at the wrong time. If he were running in 2008, he'd have a pretty good chance.

The link doesn't work - does Pat go on to blame the Jews?
I disagree with him a lot because he's an anti-semite, but Buchanan is right on this point. Our president and congress have sold us out. They are completely wrong on the immigration amnesty issue. They're going to pay for it in November when a lot of conservatives stay home and the Democrats regain control of congress in a landslide.

Be prepared for 'Lets-throw-the-baby-out-with-the-bathwater' posts.
Many here at FR at extremely adept at this highly intellectual stratagem of philosophical debate.

Do RINO elites need grateful servants so much they'll sell out our heritage?
Note to ellites: once the illegals are citizens they'll stop picking grapes, stop watching your kids for nothing, and you'll be right back at the start. Except we won't trust you...

"...er Mexican flags is a manifestation of national decline"
It actually only show how many cowards we elected to office and, they are cowards. Listen to McCain and his claims of "people protesting in the streets against the house legislation". These people are not Americans and it show how poorly he and congress have done their jobs and unwilling to fight for this country passing laws in the favor of non-americans and, to burden Americans by taxes to pay for them.

They're going to pay for it in November when a lot of conservatives stay home and the Democrats regain control of congress in a landslide. It won't cost "them" a thing....it is conservatives that will pay. I'm sure glad everyone now trusts the Democrats to do a better job on immigration.

Cutting off our noses to spite our faces. They won't pay for it , we will! We have to hold republicans accountable for how they vote not stay home and pout.

I disagree with him a lot because he's an anti-semiteThat is nonsense and you know it...please provide us examples of his "anti-semitism". These examples should not include instances where Pat suggests that a foreign power has too much influence over our foreign policy.
