Crown wanted sex, lies, and dirt.
Plame wanted something more serious and plausible.
Or vice cersa.
Uh, "vice versa".
Thank you.
I thought former agents, particularly "covert" agents, were required to sign an agreement not to disclose any info for X number of years after they left the employ of the CIA?? What happened? Have they now decided to admit she was only a desk jockey of no consequence?
I wonder if Plame didn't want something a little more basic, like a larger first digit in that $2.5 million figure, and Crown told her to take a hike.
It may be over "sex, lies, and dirt" but it also may be that Crown discovered that when they tried to nail down certain points about the CIA, Niger, etc. to ensure they would get something more than another apologia for Joe's lies, that Valerie Pflame was not planning to deviate from her biased agenda with Joe. Surely Crown should have had a pretty good idea what Joe and Valerie are about, so it's surprising that they could not reach agreement. Maybe Crown actually wanted some facts which would prove inconvenient to the whorish couple.......
