Uruknet is the original domain of the pre-invasion Iraqi government aka Baathist Party. I'd have to look it up but I seem to remember that it was hosted on a server in the USA also used by various al qaeda linked charities and maybe even CAIR. I may be wrong so I need to look in my records.

I came upon it back in 2001 or so when I was snatching Saddam Hussein "sermons" - speeches Saddam Hussein used to court certain useful segments of the muslim world- off of it to help prove to lib posters that their stupid theory that a "secular Iraqi government couldn't possibly make deals with fundamentalist religious nuts like al Qaeda" was so much BS.

I recall that there was a ISP that was providing server space for terrorist groups pre-invasion. I don't know it was Uruknet.

But Uruknet certainly is performing that function post-invasion, as even the hard left Indymedia admits:

Who was REALLY behind the Terror Attack on the Shi'ite Mosque?

Kurt Nimmo, our favorite potty poet, writer of poetry about hemorrhoids, is a contributor to the Uruknet web site, a web site serving the exiled Iraqi Baathists loyal to Saddam Hussein
