A wife and five daughters. Three of them have Harvard law degrees; the other two are still in college, and his wife's title is "Dr." (of what, I don't know).
I'd guess there's nothing much in that freezer besides cash.
I knew he had children, some who were recipients of the deals, thanks for the info on his marital status.

Dr. Andrea Green Jefferson is the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Southern University at New Orleans. Before accepting this position, she served as a member of the Southern University System Board of Supervisors and as Chair of the Baton Rouge Community College Board. She is a member of the Tulane University Presidents Council, a Director of the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, and a Director of numerous other boards.She has served on the Editorial Board of three scholarly journals and as Editor of a national professional organizations newsletter.
One odd thing I read about the videotape is that when the agent dropping off the bribe asked Jefferson about his plans for the future, Jefferson said that his plans were to conclude this deal and that after that he didn't think he would last very long. In other words he knew that he would probably be caught, so it seems that perhaps he was just trying to benefit family members.
BTW an acquaintance of mine had a relative who was involved in something similar to the mafia in Hawaii. She told me that while staying in his house she noticed stacks of money in the freezer and guns in the dryer.
