We are his Beloved Audience...~!
Welcome to the most FUN LIVE THREAD on FreeRepublic!
That is horrendous.
Think he'll take my call?
Only if there's $$$ in it.
I am sorry but I just don't believe that our boys would do that. Forgetaboutit!
From Dan Darling -
One of the comparisons that Reilly has made in the past to Bush that I think does a pretty good job of summarizing the effect that the man has had is to compare him to "The Madman" from Nietzsche. The except in question is contained in this blog from back in July 2003:
Much has been said for and against George Bush, but he has perhaps never before been compared to the title character in Nietzsche's parable, "The Madman." That's the one in The Gay Science about the lunatic who runs about a town, amazed that the street-corner skeptics do not yet realize that they have killed God. Like a distant star, the event is so big that it takes years for its light to reach the earth so that men can see it. The collapse of Communism, Brose suggests, was an event of comparable size:
On September 11, 2001, the world felt the first major shockwave of the presumably new and unknown era of international relations that rumbled into existence over a decade ago with the collapse of the bipolar order. That morning's terror attacks were a symptom of a larger geopolitical condition: the "unipolar" world, now stripped of its illusions and seen in the reality of its violent resentment and upheaval. Though it had been a long time coming, a U.S. administration finally awoke to the collapse of the old order and began working through the attendant implications.
Even after the disaster, diplomats and academics continued to chatter about the World Court and the Kyoto Treaty, unable or unwilling to see that there was a great deal more to world history than trade agreements and multilateral conferences. Such people hate the president in large part because he will not leave them to the worship of their idols...

UNREAL...
ETHICS training. These Soldiers and Marines are ALL taught ethics in boot camp...
My son (combat soldier) and his buddies could give you countless exdamples of the ways they PUT THEIR LIVES on the LINE every damn day in the cause of "ethics" ...
The things they DIDN'T DO...the opportunities they let pass day in and day out would amaze you...to PROTECT possible innocents.
I HATE this.
Oh, my! Poor kid.
Well I guess I am SOL!
I don't believe it either. Not unprovoked or without a reason.
Not nice......
I don't believe it either (it IS the BBC, after all). It looks like a media/political setup.
I just bought a brand new freezer a couple weeks ago -- no $100 bills in it either-- did they deliver the wrong one??? I should call Warren up and ask donja think???
I think this is all designed to demoralize the troops and render them incapable of fighting by hamstringing them with impossibly PC rules of engagement.
I believe it. I can't imagine living every day knowing there are lives that literally depend on what you do or don't do, lives in addition to your own. I'm not sure the American people deserve to be defended by such brave, wonderful troops.
BINGO.
They already do have ethics training...
No kidding...it's EXACTLY what they're trying to do.
This "event" and the various reactions to it show us who we are as a nation. It's damned scary.
These SOB's need a reality check.
Called UCMJ...
