I respect you opinion and agree to a point but it is not irrelevant in what kind of town it is, you have to look at it in context. The rules of engagement for the marines stay the same. However, the enemy does not follow rules of warfare, the town was run by the enemy, making the entire town a battlefield in unconventional urban combat. When an IED goes off, those who did it are not standing there with an AK for the marines to locate. They are hidden, most likely a house in this scenario using families as human shields. If I'm not correct the town was evacuated for this 3 day operation..

No I'm not saying it OK for marines to kill civilians, but we have to accept collateral damage for what it is. I chose to give the mairnes the benefit of the doubt, think they would not go on shooting rampages and shoot a 1, 3, 5 or whatever year old in the head. Other would choose to believe our marines would. I couldn't imagine the mind state of this type of combat, especially when encountering roadside bombs. People need to stop over analyzing combat, innocents will get killed, its war. I think its more important to keep that perspective than to add to the propaganda and the moral destruction that is going on.
