Mike was most definitely in his manic phase today. But, I agree with him. Bush certainly is the (and I quote Mike) the "dumb son" running, or not running well at all, this country. Bush is part of the death of our nation. I have never seen such corruption as we've seen coming out of the House and Senate and being looked on by Bush.

Shades of 24??

Did you ever read the editorial, in 2000, about him holed up in his bedroom at the executive mansion while the group that was running the election held meetings downstairs on how to get him motivated and interested?.. I'm sorry, the names escape me right now, they had a name for the fundraising group during both elections...

That editorial made me very nervous at the time.... now, I wish I had saved it.

" Something has been very wrong all year and getting worse, not better. "

Amen. And it's not just second termitis.
The clips of President Bush in his first term compared to now- are striking. The energy, the passion , the spirit seem to have vanished. Even when he mangled words- he did so with vigor and we got the message.
His Saturday morning radio addresses are bland and delivered in a monotone- sometimes he sounds half asleep . I can't recall the last time President Bush visited a military base and gave the troops a rousing address.
Today's half-hearted defense of the Marines was just awful.
President Bush was halting and unfocused and seemed to be searching for the right words - I can't believe he didn't prepare a better answer than what was given.

It would be better to send out Tony Snow than come out and fumble the ball.

Military Base -- I remember a visit to California to the Navy last year during the Katrina aftermath when IMHO he should have cancelled and flown back to DC via NOLA and Mississippi. I know, people keep saying they told him not to come... but, he should have gone and I'm not saying this from hindsight, I said it at the time and was scolded for it.

That was my thought. He had to know he would be asked--prepare something beforehand if you can't speak so well off the cuff.

"I have never seen such corruption as we've seen coming out of the House and Senate and being looked on by Bush."

That's because they know as we all know that nothing will be done. All they have to do is look at the slap on the wrist that Sandy Burger got. They think they are free to be as corrupt as they like. No consequenses from the Bush administration.

"I don't understand wth is wrong with Bush, he's getting really bad"

Savage had it wrong before, but I think he's coming around. Before the election, he thought Bush was acting a bit liberal to appeal to more voters. And don't worry, after the election when he doesn't have to worry about re-election, he'll act like a real conservative.

But it's just the opposite. Now that he's been elected to a second term, he can act like a true lib. It's unbelievable.

I can't tell the difference between Bush and Kennedy, they sound alike in their thought process, it's getting scary, I wonder if slick has convinced Bush to switch sides, this cannot be happening, everyday it gets worse. I voted for Bush because he appeared to have testosterone, appeared to be strong, appeared to be a conservative, appeared to know right from wrong,,,,,,,,,,the list goes on and on, I do still agree with him on the WOT, that's about the only thing these days that I agree with him on.........
