There is that somewhat contorted logic which would say that refusal to permit a search by LEOs would be probable cause for a search...

LE tried that one, and was roundly shot down by more than one appeals court IIRC.

Assertings ones Constitutional rights cannot be considered probable cause.

Also, if something illegal is visible (i.e.drugs, weapons, pez container, etc.), officers can search without permission.
