GI'S BIG FAT SUIT VS. MOORE (Michael)
NEW YORK POST ^ | May 31, 2006 | JENNIFER FERMINO

EXCLUSIVE

A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America's invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.

In the 2003 interview, which he did at Walter Reed Army Hospital for NBC News, he discussed only a new painkiller the military was using on wounded vets.

"They took the clip because it was a gut-wrenching scene," Damon said yesterday. "They sandwiched it in. [Moore] was using me as ammunition."

Damon seems to "voice complaint about the war effort" in the movie, according to the lawsuit.

But what the father of two from Middleborough, Mass., was really talking about was the "excruciating" pain he felt after he lost his arms when a Black Hawk helicopter exploded in front of him.

Damon wasn't expressing any opinion about the war, the suit charges, but rather extolling the drug.

"I just want everybody to know what kind of a guy Michael Moore is, and what kind of film this is," said Damon. He has appeared in two films attacking "Fahrenheit" -"Michael Moore Hates America" and "Fahrenhype 9/11."

In "Fahrenheit 9/11," the bandaged National Guardsman is shown laying on a gurney complaining that he feels like he's "being crushed in a vise. But they [the drugs] do a lot to help it and they take a lot of the edge off it."

His image appears seconds after Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) says, "You know, they say they're not leaving any veterans behind, but they're leaving all kinds of veterans behind."

Damon - the dad of a 8-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy - doesn't come...

You have to husband that emotion and spend it carefully.

Awesome quote...and oh so true. Everyday you see the hate and anger from the left and you have to wonder what kind of miserable life they must lead.

He did include NBC

"NBC is named in the suit - which was filed in Suffolk County, Mass., on Friday - along with Harvey and Robert Weinstein, Miramax Corp., Lions Gate Films and other production companies involved with the picture."

It shouldn't matter who the parties are in this suit. Using someone in a film without their promission is a crime.

You have to husband that emotion and spend it carefully... Hitler. Bin Laden. Stalin.

I agree.

But without the Moore's of the world, the others might not have made it to power. Moore is an enabler. Joseph Geobells was Hitler's right hand man, and just as guilty as Hitler, though he neverr issued a single order to have anyone killed. But he helped create the conditions that allowed those orders to be carried out.

The lacky's and toadies are as guilty as those they serve and enable. IMHO.

That's how Micheal Moore made all of F9/11. He hacks out quotes and plays hanky panky with the editing. The Coast Guard officer on Oregon is not happy with Moore either and the AP, who gave Michael Moore the clip of video of the now famous "My Pet Goat" episode claim that the entire thing was only 4 and a half minutes, not 7 minutes as Moore made everyone believe. Even the 9/11 Report says 4 1/2 minutes to 7 minutes because it is disputed between Moore and the AP.

And the famous Condi quote that Moore hacked.

In "Fahrenheit 9/11," Michael Moore truncated a comment by Condi Rice in order to deliberately give viewers of his movie the false impression that Bush said Saddam did 9/11. Here's the quote as it appeared in the film:

"There is a tie between Iraq and what happened on 9/11"

Now here's the full Condi quote:

"Oh, indeed there is a tie between Iraq and what happened on 9/11. It’s not that Saddam Hussein was somehow himself and his regime involved in 9/11, but, if you think about what caused 9/11, it is the rise of ideologies of hatred that lead people to drive airplanes into buildings in New York."

And Moore saying that the Afganistan War was not to root out the Taliban but rather was to build a pipeline by Haliburton for UNOCAL (He even showed the pipeline being built). FYI: UNOCAL dropped all bids to build a pipeline in 1998. And in 1998 that is when the Taliban vitisted the USA under the Clinton Admin with entry granted by the State Dept under the Clinton Admin. But Moore tried to pawn that off as the Taliban meeting with Bush who was governor at the time and Bush was not involved with that meeting whatsoever.

There is more junk I could discuss but the guy is too sickening to discuss at length.

Mikey does do good editing for the liberals and knows how to get money out of their wallets.

According to IMDB, the gross revenue for this POS movie was $222,446,320 Worldwide as of 23 January 2005. It seems to me that this is the amount that Sgt. Damon should be suing for.

Also, I hope this lawsuit will make ol' Oliver Stone-d think twice about some of the footage in his upcoming 9/11 mock-u-mentary. Seems he has named names of victims even though the family of those victims have begged him not to.

I'm beginning to think excess and obesity are requirements for liberal males. Kennedy, Gore, Moore, Murtha; there's enough blubber on these gluttons to melt into a second national oil reserve.

And on the distaff side, there is Lynne Stewart (the lawyer for the blind sheik) convicted of helping terrorists to try to carry out their attacks against Americans. I'm beginning to think that self-hate is being transferred to hate America.

I'm not a lawyer, but I do want to know what the law says about this. If you allow the media to film you for any purpose, does that mean that you are now public property and can be used or abused by anyone for any purpose?
