Yes, same here in Washington state. I think it is the same story in pretty much every state where the law has had a chance to "mature".

Even dumber in good old FL, they enacted the seatbelt law, and abolished the helmet law for motorcycles. It makes no sense.

Very true, here is SC is was that way until they came up with the click-it or ticket, which has led to roadblock checkpoints.
