>>If you are doing the right thing anyway and a law is passed that is driven at doing the right thing, how exactly is that affecting you negatively?<<

That is a question from a raw socialist perspective. It’s a twist on the old question, “If you have nothing to hide, why are you against the police searching your house without a warrant?”.

The problem is that once you make a decision for someone that really only involves them and their personal safety, you have taken away their freedom to choose their own destiny. They have become your ward.

If you take away a persons freedom to fail, you ipso-facto take away their freedom to succeed. After all, if their “success” is because you made the decisions for them, it is not their success, it is yours. Which means you are the one that has the power, not them. They are merely well taken care of pets.

This country was founded on the concept of individual freedom. It brings with it risks. But life IS risk.

If I were a gazelle, I would rather live in the uncertainty of the Savannah than the “safety” of a zoo. It seems many here like the comfort of the zoo.

Rob my chocie was not made for me. I chose to drive and follow the rules set out to do so or I don't. You mistake the choice.

If you think i am a raw socialist you make the mistake of judging a book by its cover.

You are in no way free to drvie a car outside the rules set out to do so. If you think you are then your defenition of freedom is anarchy. how can it be anything else? You do not get to decide the rules of the road, your elected representatives do by the votes they cast. If you disagree with their voting patterns then by all means cast your vote another way next time around.

You have a choice to follow the rules of the road as they apply to vehicles or travel in another way. You may argue that your choice has been removed but that just simply isn't the case.

Ask the black footed ferret about the choice you made, they would be extinct if they had been able to chose as you would.

Here is a choice, if you do not wish to follow the rules then don't drive or maybe you could run for electedoffice on this issue???

Your argument that "life is full of risks" so let me be free is so out of touch with reality. HA.

In this country anyone that is seiously injured for life will be taken care of at least minimally with medical care and benefits by our government. Your idea of life is full of risks and I'll take mine went out about the turn of this century.

If you take a stupid risk...then I will pay with taxes for your choice.
