In war, terrible things happen. If unjustified killings occurred, leave it to the military not the media to deal with them. And press on with what needs to be done. We have no need to scourge ourselves over issues like this one. Comparing even an event like this with the reality of the kind of vicious, brutal insurgency opccuring in Iraq is the height of absurdity.
And Murtha and his leftist colleagues should at least extend to American fighting fighting men the same courtesy of a trial - SHOULD ONE EVEN BE NECESSARY - that we mistakenly extend to contemporary pirates and homicidal maniacs like Moussoui.
