I'd seriously like to read where they came up with this. There's not much with this article at all. And what's the fossil record demonstrate. Sounds pretty interesting.

Further research about this grass would indicate that lots of students and professors are using it to justify a Mediterranean vacation under the guise of research. "Google" 'Posideonia Oceanica' and see what I mean.

Well, if you want to be picky about it, the actual age of this thing is 99,999 years 23hours 59 minutes and 59 and one half seconds. They just rounded it off to one 100,000 years for the sake of brevity. :~) Sloppy math on their part, but they probably figured that was close enough, for government work.
